PERFORMANCE CRUISER WINNER: X4 0 Så lykkedes det for X-Yachts Pure X-serie at tage stikket hjem. Og det var i den grad velfortjent. X4 0 er mindste båd i Pure X-serien, og den deler sine grundlæggende linjer med sine større søstre. X4 0 sejler godt pr. default ikke mindst på kryds, og det er en fornøjelse at stå bag rattet. Spil, beslag, hal og trimliner sidder rigtigt, og det hele er dimensio- neret efter bogen. Det er med relativt enkle midler, at båden trimmes ind og man rammer ”the grove”.

Overvejer du at købe, så husk at få båden med overlappende genua. Det giver saft og kraft på kryds, og du har stadig masser af kontrol på halvvind. De fleste sejlere vil opleve rigeligt feedback fra roret. Også om læ leverer båden. Det lidt høje fribord giver så meget volumen i salonen, at man er i tvivl om, om man er på 4 0 eller 4 3 ’eren. Der er lækkert og lyst, og man vil gerne opholde sig i salonen eller i sin kahyt.

It has comfortable interiors (best in the 2-cabin version) and an impeccable construction. Maybe it doesn’t excite at first glance, its lines have a conventional design and it’s similar to the other models in the X range, but the X 4.0 is a solid, error-free product and suitable for both expert and novice owners.
