Den er enkel at trimme, sjov at sejle og let styre og håndtere med det store enkeltbladede 100 % neutrale balanceror. Når der er vind planer den og runder 15 knob uden besvær. Man er tæt på vandet, og båden minder én om det magiske ved at sejle. Vægten er holdt i ave og masten er i kulfiber. Trimlinerne sidder de rigtige steder, og komforten i cockpittet er god. Om læ finder man et toilet og hynder, som muliggør enkelte overnatninger i godt vejr.

PASI NUUTINEN, VENE, FIN On the last test session of a blustery day in the Bay of Biscay we had so much fun surfing with the Saffier that we almost doubled the time slot allowed. In a nutshell this pretty much tells what the boat is about. She has the potential for speed nearly to a level of a racer yet follows very gently the commands of the helmsman. Sheet handling and ergonomics are so cleverly organised that only with the gennaker up an active crewmember is needed. The steering wheel felt a bit odd at first on such a small yacht but in fact it really allows to take on board a couple of friends for passengers. The SE 27 looks beautiful to the point of being sexy, and the cool style extends to the interior with high level finish and materials. Her cabin will obviously not be used a lot on happy daysailings. Still, it’s big enough to serve the basic needs: changing clothes to something comfortable and having sweet daydreams on a nap. Sensations are so great wether upwind or downwind with the big gennaker. Planing is really easy, you can reach 15-knot speeds without much effort. The cabin is quite small and with no headroom, of course, but it is okay for sleeping there in the night when cruising for a week-end.
